Cathy Graves, 67, of
Blountsville passed away
Thursday May 14, 2026,
at her residence. Cathy
was born April 22, 1959,
in Oneonta, the daughter
of J.P. Fennell and Betty Jo
King Fennell.
Cathy and Ricky L.
Graves were married on
July 9, 1976. She was
a 1977 graduate of J.B.
Pennington High School.
Cathy retired several years ago from Blue and Gray
Drugs in Hanceville.
Survivors include her husband Rick Graves;
daughters Jamie (Heath) Adams and Haley (Daniel)
Jenkins; brother Chris Fennell; sisters Lesia Cargile and
Becky Butts; grandchildren John Cody Smith, Ethan
Smith, Jack Smith and Laci Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and
Betty Jo Fennell.
Funeral Service was Saturday May 16, 2026, at
noon at Blountsville Funeral Home. Burial followed in
Roswell Creek Cemetery. Visitation was from 11 a.m.
until noon Saturday at Blountsville Funeral Home.
Charles Rodney Tidwell
Charles Rodney Tidwell, age 55, of Oneonta, passed
away May 13, 2026.
Rodney was born Feb. 25, 1971. He was a devoted
husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather who
loved his family deeply and worked hard to provide for
those he loved. Rodney was raised with strong values
of faith and was respected by all who knew him for his
integrity, kindness, and strong work ethic. He was the
kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to
help anyone in need.
Rodney was saved at the age of 7 at Taits Gap
Baptist church and baptized by his pawpaw Verbon
Elrod.
Rodney proudly served his country in the United
States Army, carrying that same sense of loyalty and
dedication throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Tidwell; his parents Charles and Beverly Tidwell,
and Becky Weaver (Rex); brother Chad Tidwell and
wife Pam; his children, Shana Mcadoo and husband
Kristopher, Devon Tidwell, Brittany Coleman, and
Hunter Hutcherson and Abby; and his eight cherished
grandchildren.
Rodney is preceded in death by his grandparents,
Easley H. and Hazel Shaw Tidwell, and Reverend
Verbon Elrod and Mozelle Dye Elrod Thompson. And
great grandparents, Reverend Doss Corbit Dye and Rena
Austin Dye, and Willie and Vertie Elrod.
Rodney will be remembered for his generous heart,
unwavering love for his family, and the lasting impact
he made on everyone blessed to know him. His memory
will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Pallbearers: Devon Tidwell, Scott Tidwell,
Kristopher Mcadoo, Jimmy Cason, Jeremy Hutcherson,
and Hunter Hutcherson.
The service was held on Sunday, May 16, 2026, at
Lemley Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m., visitation beginning
at 12:30 p.m. with internment following in Cleveland
Methodist Church Cemetery.
