Remlap Teen, Parents Arrested on Multiple Charges of Sexual Abuse and Child Abuse Torture

Eighteen-year-old Skyler Zills of Remlap is facing multiple felony sex abuse charges after authorities say the teen sexually abused a child. His parents, 36-year-old Ashley Zills and 53-year-old Wendell Zills, are also facing charges related to the case. The three were arrested Wednesday, April 29, and remain in the Blount County Jail.

According to court records, Skyler is charged with five counts of rape, five counts of sodomy, five counts of sexual abuse of a child younger than 12, and one count of incest. Records state the victim is an 11-year-old relative. 

His parents each face a child abuse torture charge. According to court records, the couple allowed the sex abuse to continue after the child, who was in their care, reported it to them.

The case will be presented to a Blount County Grand Jury in July.
