William Ray Lee

William Ray Lee, 92, of Snead, passed away Monday April 6, 2026, at his residence.  Ray was born July 28, 1933, in Gadsden, the son of Willie Lee and Estelle Fitts Lee. He served in the U.S. Army for two years after graduating from Emma Sansom High School in 1952.  

He married Betty Sue Little, whom he was married to for more than 50 years before her death.  He later married again and had been married to his current wife, Betty J. Lee, for 10 years.  Ray was retired after a career with Goodyear that spanned 42 years.  

Survivors include his wife Betty Lee; sons Tim Lee, Chris (Kelley) Lee, Greg (Angie) Lee, and Jim  (Crystal) Holmes, Jr.; sister Shirley Allen; 16 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 14 great- and step-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.  

A memorialservice and Military Honors will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Old Snead Community Church, 512 Pearman Rd., Altoona, Ala. 35952.   Blountsville Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation arrangements.
