Zachary Joshua King, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away Feb. 18, 2026, at the age of 23 in Nectar. Born July 19, 2002, Zachary’s life was filled with joy, laughter, and a deep passion for the things he loved.
Zachary was known for his vibrant spirit and interests that brought light to those around him. He was an enthusiastic swimmer, enjoyed creating art, and had a profound appreciation for grunge rock music. His love for animals, particularly cats, showcased his gentle and caring nature. A fan of leisure and games, he found special comfort in watching Wheel of Fortune, a cherished childhood tradition he shared with his grandmother and treasured visits to the beach, where he felt most at peace.
Zachary’s legacy will endure in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Max and Linda King; his sister Brada Acevedo and brother-in-law David; his niece Lila Acevedo; his grandparents Sue and Felix Gaither, as well as Lanny and Dorthy Sartain. He is also survived by his special friend, Jada Jones, alongside a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly. 
Zachary is preceded in death by his grandfather, Glenn King.
A visitation was held Feb. 21, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at The Chapel of The Cleveland Funeral Home. He was laid to rest at Nectar Cemetery at 2 p.m..
Pallbearers were Max King, Bobby Blair, David Acevedo, Stephen Abel, Eddie Robbins, and Jeremy Washburn.
Zachary Joshua King leaves a remarkable imprint through his love for life and the many ways he touched the hearts of those around him. His memory will live on forever.
