Charles William Murphree

Charles William Murphree, age 95, of Wynnville, passed away March 5, 2026. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from LTV Steel in Gadsden and was a longtime employee at Lemley Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife Martha Murphree; son Tommy Murphree (Kathy); daughter Teresa Mize; granddaughter Melissa Murphree; grandson David Mize (Kristen); great-grandchildren Kinsley Mize and Carter Mize.

The family received friends Monday, March 9, 2026, at Lemley Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at 11 a.m. with Berry Faust and Bric Latham presiding. Burial followed in Wynnville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan Moore Fire Department. Lemley Funeral Home is honored to serve this family.
