Mary Nadine Brown Lamb

February 08, 2026

Mary Nadine Brown Lamb, age 87, of Oneonta, passed away peacefully Jan. 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Nadine was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by devotion — to her family, her faith, and her church. She was the steady heart of her home and a source of comfort, encouragement, and quiet strength to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bobby Lee Lamb; her infant daughter Ginger Lamb; and her parents Henry J. Brown and Reba Jo Brown.
She is survived by her children Susan Adams (Ricky) and Tim Lamb (Renea); her grandchildren Ginger Johnson (Craig), Jordan Adams, Kristin Pettey (Daniel), Logan Lamb (Mallory), and Maegen O’Dell (Justin); and 12 cherished great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
As a teenager, Nadine sang in a small gospel group, a reflection of the deep faith and love of music that stayed with her throughout her life. She later became a devoted pastor’s wife and faithfully served as a church pianist for many years, using her musical gifts to worship and minister to others. She also loved to paint, finding peace and expression through her artwork. Whether through music, art, or quiet acts of love, she gave of herself freely and without hesitation.
Her family will forever remember her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the deep love she poured into every generation. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through the family she nurtured and the lives she touched.
The family extends special thanks to her caregivers, whom she loved dearly, and to ACG Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
The family received friends Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, at Lemley Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2 p.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at 2 p.m. with Rev. Nick Mitchelle presiding. Burial followed in Centre Cemetery.
Asked to serve as pallbearers were Logan Lamb, Jordan Adams, Daniel Pettey, Justin O'Dell, Craig Johnson, and Crewe Johnson.
