Raymond William Vaughn

Raymond William Vaughn, 88, a resident of Tarrant, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at his home. 

A private cremation has been arranged through Lemley Funeral Home. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. 

Mr. Vaughn was born in Blountsville and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1957- 1964. He retired from Pemco Aeroplex of Birmingham. 

Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jones Vaughn; his parents Percy and Marjorie Vaughn; and his siblings Marie Vaughn, Tommy Vaughn, and Mike Vaughn. 

He is survived by his son James Vaughn (Martha); his stepson Bobby D. Jones (Elaine) and stepdaughter Barbara Zegarra (Peter); grandchildren Ashley Duet, Martha Lee Hawkins (Stacy), Christopher Jones, Christina Courounis, Nicole Berry (Matt), and Jake Couch; great-grandchildren Archie Duet III, John Duet, Lara Lee Hawkins, Devin Hawkins, Oliver Berry, Charles Berry, and Jude Couch; sisters Glenda Kimbrell, Charlotte Lee, and Kay Cherry (Larry); close friend Roger Stratton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
