Joyce Tidwell Tolbert, age

92, of Oneonta, passed away on

Dec. 23, 2025.

Mrs. Tolbert was a fi-

nancial administrator for the

bankruptcy court in Birming-

ham. She had many hobbies

including quilting, sewing,

gardening, cooking for her

family and friends, spending

time with her grandchildren

and great- grandchildren, and volunteering for multiple

organizations.

She was preceded in death by husband Jack Tol-

bert; parents Grover E. and Vivian T. Robinette Tidwell;

sisters Reba Lois Tidwell, Nita Bullard, and Ann Blakely;

brother Bobby Gene Tidwell.

She is survived by daughter Linda Johnson (John-

ny); son Larry Tolbert (Melissa); grandchildren Miranda

Studstill (Jon), J.J. Johnson (Debbie), Misty Sandlin

(Scott), and Matt Tolbert (Reagan); great-grandchildren

Aaliyah Studstill, Caden Studstill, Theo Studstill, Evan

Studstill, Cody Tolbert, Savannah Sandlin, Deacon Tol-

bert, and Barrett Tolbert.

The family received friends Friday, Dec. 26, 2025,

at Lemley Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at

11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Epps, John Hutchins, and David

Jackson presiding. Burial followed in Mauldin Ceme-

tery. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Scott Sandlin,

J.J. Johnson, Matt Tolbert, Cody Tolbert, Jon Studstill,

and Caden Studstill.
