Bobby Ray Adcock

Bobby Ray Adcock, 95, of Blountsville, passed Sunday Nov. 9, 2025, at TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta. Bobby was born Oct. 20, 1930, the son of Marvin Adcock and Minnie Green Adcock. He married the love of his life, Inez Stidham, on Jan. 17, 1951, and was married for 73 years at the time of her passing on Sept. 16, 2024. 

Bobby served in the US Army from May 8, 1951, until being honorably discharged on April 21, 1953. Bobby was retired after a long career as custodian at Blountsville Elementary School. He was a long-time member of Blountsville Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his daughters Pam (Michael) Martin and Renee (Bill) Connolly; grandchildren Scott (Kristen) Martin, Meghan Connolly, and Patrick (Lily) Connolly; great-grandchildren Damien Connolly, Fulton Connolly, and Jack Martin. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Adcock; parents Marvin and Minnie Adcock; and siblings Wallace Adcock, Ralphine Blackwood, Mary Jewel Atchley and Johnny Adcock. 

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 15, 2025, at Blountsville Baptist Church with Randall Edmondson officiating. Burial with Military Honors was Blountsville Cemetery, Blountsville Funeral Home directing.
