Billy Kline “Stogie”
Latham, age 84, passed
away on Oct. 9, 2025, in
Birmingham. Born on
Sept. 14, 1941, in Ala-
bama, he lived a full and
spirited life marked by
dedication to family, ser-
vice to his country, and a
deep appreciation for the
outdoors.
Billy proudly served in
the United States Army,
embodying a sense of duty
and commitment that re-
mained with him through-
out his life. Known for
his strong work ethic and
love of people, he was
someone who thrived in
the company of others
and brought warmth and
humor wherever he went.
He found great joy in
simple pleasures—spend-
ing time fishing and
hunting were among his
favorite pastimes. His loy-
al dog Poncho was never
far from his side during
these outdoor adventures.
Which held a cherished
place in his heart.
Billy is survived by
his devoted wife, Nancy
Latham; his daughter,
Mary Warren; and two
beloved grandchildren,
Patrick Ryan Warren and
Peyton Kline Warren. He
also leaves behind a host
of cousins and special
friends who will remem-
ber him with affection and
gratitude.
He was preceded in
death by his parents, Wil-
liam and Inez (Copeland)
Latham, as well as his
son, William Christopher
Latham.
A man who loved deeply
and lived fully, Billy’s
memory will continue to
bring comfort to those
who knew him. May he
rest in peace. A Funeral

2025, at 2 p.m. at Blount
County Funeral Home,
17885 State Hwy 160. Vis-
itation was Oct. 15, 2025,
from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at
Blount County Funeral
Home.
