Regina Womack Blanton, age 79, of Altoona,
passed away Oct. 1,
2025, surrounded by
her loving family. A

held Sunday, Oct. 5,
2025, at Altoona-Wal-
nut Grove cemetery.
Jerry Scott officiated.
In lieu of flowers, the
family has requested a
donation to your
chosen charity.
Regina was a faith-
ful member of First Baptist Church of Altoona
for many years. She served as the church
secretary for numerous years as well as serv-
ing in The Bible school ministry. Recently, she
attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church until her
illness in 2021.
She was a graduate of Susan Moore High
School, graduating in 1964 as the class Saluta-
torian.
She is preceded in death by her parents
Jay and Vaden Womack; sister Betty (Lewis)
Skillman; brother L.D. (Elaine) Womack; and
sister-in-law Cindy Blanton.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie
Blanton; her daughters Kim (Michael) Watkins
and Tammy (Mike) Ford; son Kinney (Christie)
Blanton; brother-in-law Daryl Blanton; grand-
children Kyle (Shelbie) Watkins, Kelsey Wat-
kins, Haley (Alex) Goerke, Chase (Elissa) Blan-
ton, Ashley Ford, Sophie Ford, Ethan Blanton,
Haley Burns, and Alley Blanton; great-grand-
children Henry Watkins, Lorelai Goerke, and
Ira Blanton.
Regina suffered a stroke in 2021 and bat-
tled breast cancer in 2022 with dignity and
never complaining. I had the honor to do for
her the things she had done for me for more
than 50 years. It was both a pleasure and joy to
serve her. She gave her all for her family.
Pallbearers were Kyle Watkins, Chase Blan-
ton, Mike Ford, Michael Watkins, Bryan Blan-
ton and Hunter Blanton.
The greatest gift I ever received in life was
to accept Jesus Christ. The second greatest gift
was I got to spend 55 years with Regina, thank
you Lord!
