Fowler Tidwell, 83, of Oneonta, Alabama, passed away peacefully Aug. 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Aug. 10, 1942, Frances was the daughter of the late W.S. and Clara Mooney Fowler. She was preceded in death by her brothers Lonnie Fowler and Billy Fowler; her sisters Linda Owens and Deborah Tidwell; and her grandson Kelly Nash.
Frances is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Jimmy Tidwell; her children Alan Nash (Leighann) of Inlet Beach, Fla., Philip Nash (Kathryn) of Summerfield, NC, Amy Quick (Jason) of Odenville, and Jonathan Tidwell (Anna) of Hoover,; and her beloved “daughter-in-love,” Beverly Nash of Oneonta.
She was blessed with grandchildren Holli Nash of Panama City Beach, Fla.; Carson Milot (Andrew) of Elon, NC; Brayden Quick and Braxton Quick of Odenville; David Raymer and Eliza Tidwell of Hoover; and Samuel Nash (Cali) of Hampstead, NC; and great-grandchildren Lily Milot and Lucia Milot of Elon, NC. Frances is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jason Quick, Brayden Quick, Jonathan Tidwell, David Raymer, Ken Kyker, and Cory Baird.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She cared deeply for the Lord, her family, and friends, and her kindness touched everyone who knew her. Known for her warmth, generosity, and incredible cooking, she created countless cherished memories around the table and in the home she so lovingly kept.
Her faith, love, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A graveside service was held Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. with Melton Smith presiding. Burial followed.
