Verlon Tipton,

Verlon Tipton, age 95, of Oneonta, passed July 28, 2025. 

He was preceded in death by wife Jean Tipton; son Dale Tipton; parents John and Lillie Tipton; sister and brother-law Jean (James) Wilson. 

He is survived by sons Mike Tipton (Karen) and Brian Tipton (Teresa); grandchildren Krissy Taylor (Matt), Kolby Tipton, Matthew Tipton (Molly), Karin Gosnell (Craig), Chelsea Walker (Schyler); great- grandchildren Lily Taylor, Kaiden Tipton, Emma and Anna Taylor, K.J. Gosnell, Kazlyn Gosnell, Emery and Trace Walker, Leo Tipton, and Austin Tipton.

The family received friends Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Lemley from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at 1 p.m. with Steve Hallman and Alvin Turner presiding. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Matthew Tipton, Kolby Tipton, Matt Taylor, Craig Gosnell, Schyler Walker, David Brumbeloe, K.J. Gosnell, and Trace Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Leo Tipton and Austin Tipton.
