Robert Stevan Mathews

Robert Stevan Mathews, age 71, of Locust Fork, passed away July 19, 2025.

 He was preceded in death by father James Mathews; mother Juanita Gray; brother Mark Mathews; grandfather Ernest Mathews; grandmother Myrtle Mathews.

 He is survived by wife Mary Mathews; daughters Bridget Mathews and Tammy Mathews; granddaughter Zahley Mathews; sister Jame'l Mathews; sister-in-law Wanda Mathews; nieces Andrea Ollinger, (Harry) and Leslie Houser (Mike); a host of nieces and nephews. 

 The family received friends Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Lemley Funeral Home from 12:30 p,m. until 3 p.m. A funeral service was held in the chapel beginning at 3 p.m. with Jon Lowe presiding. Burial followed in Pine Bluff Cemetery. 

Asked to serve as pallbearers were Everette Smith, William Smith, Chris Cleveland, Greg Love, Stephen Hill, and Bob Smith. Honorary Pallbearers Wayne Mantooth, Mike Mantooth, Anthony Lee, and Ed Bresenham.

 In lieu of flowers, a scholarship has been set up in his memory at Southern Energy Credit Union. Donations to the scholarship can also be sent to 280 Clate Tidwell Rd, Locust Fork, AL. 35097. Lemley Funeral Home is honored to serve this family.
