George William Sanders.

George William Sanders, age 64, of Oneonta, passed away May 19, 2025.

He was preceded in death by parents George Thomas and Imogean McClellan Sanders; brothers Charles Sanders and Billy Rae Sanders; 
and sister Mary Alice McClellan Pack.

He is survived by daughters Angela Wiggins (JD) and Christy Watwood (Daniel); stepdaughter Stephanie Johnson; grandchildren Kylie Stephenson, Macie Stephenson, Harper Stephenson, Trinity Stephenson, Ryleighana Wiggins, Jaxson Wiggins, Austin Seay, Brently Seay, Caelon Seay, Gracie Watwood, Tranner Watwood; brothers Michael Sanders and Tommy Rae Sanders; sisters Betty Tuttle, Pat Ragsdale (Shorty), Joyce Stephenson, and Marta Buse; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and previous wife Reba Sanders.

The family receiveed friends Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Lemley Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. to  8 p.m.. A funeral service was held Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Lemley Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. with Don Garrison presiding. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Brently Seay, Austin Seay, Eddie Eakes, Taylor Eakes, Brandon Abbott, and David Thomas.
