Travis Donald Black

Travis Donald Black, 81, of Blountsville, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at his residence. Travis was born Feb. 18, 1944, in Blount County, the son of Irvin Black and Lorene Smith Black. 

He was married to Susie Davis Black. He did carpentry work, as well as farming during his working years. 

He is survived by his wife Susie Black; son Travis Wade Black; brotherm Keith (Sandy) Black; sister Bobbie Whatley; grandson Travis Barrett (Sarah) Black; great-grandchildre Piper, Bennett and Lucas Black; and a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Blountsville Funeral Home with Kent McClendon officiating. Burial was in South Cemetery, Blountsville Funeral Home directing.  Visitation was 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Blountsville Funeral Home.  

Pallbearers were Billy Davis, Benny Green, Kelly Culwell, Larry Joe Smith, Tracy Putman, and Cody Jackson.
