Sandra W. Staton

Sandra W. Staton age 73, of Hayden passed away Tuesday May 6, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Blount Medical Center.  Sandra was born on September 20, 1951, in Cullman County, AL the daughter of Clyde Suddeth Woodard and Opal Irene Grigsby Woodard.  She was a 1969 graduate of J.B. Pennington High School and retired from Tyson where she was a supervisor for many years.  She was married on August 5, 1991, to Jerry Staton.  She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church.  

Sandra is survived by her husband: Jerry Staton; children: Penny (Richard) Jones, Charlotte (Danny) Sivley, Crystal (Greg) Young, Kristy (Adam) Sparks and Bryan (Crystal) Staton; brother: Terry (Wanda) Woodard; sister: Jo Bailey;  grandchildren: Blake Hawkins, Terry (Savannah) Farley, Scott Young, LeAnna Sivley, LaShanna Sivley, Jamie (Daniel) Brown, Savannah Sparks, Cameron Staton, Peyton Staton and Dalton Staton; great grandchildren: Rennly Hawkins, Levi King, Jaylea King, Tanner Farley and Sophia Farley; host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters: Jean Whittington, Wayne Woodard, Norman Woodard, Louise Jordan and Barbara Foster.  

Funeral Service will be Friday May 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Mulberry Baptist Church with Brother Tim Johnson and Brother Doug Pitts officiating.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be Terry Farley, Blake Hawkins, Scott Young, Charlie Whittington, Nathan Walston and Dalton Absher.
