Kiera Thrasher, 21, Hayden, is one of two recipients of the 2019 Go Build Alabama Career Kickstart Scholarship. Thrasher attends Wallace State Community College where she is pursuing a building construction and engineering technology degree. Reed Holbrooks of Glencoe received the second scholarship.

Perfect attendance

Blountsville Elementary School held a school-wide celebration Friday, Oct. 18, for students with perfect attendance during the first nine-week grading period.
