Kaitlyn McAnnally, Cleveland, and Gabrielle Roberts, Southeastern, are recipients of $1,000 scholarships from the Blount County Quilters Guild. McAnnally is the daughter of Kevin McAnnally and Sherrie Horton. She will attend JSU and study biology, with plans to transfer to UAB to obtain a degree in orthodontics. Roberts will attend UAB in the fall.

On Friday, April 5, around 400 students converged on the campus of Wallace State Community College in Hanceville for Athens State’s inaugural AMSTI STEM challenge.
