Stanley graduates

U.S. Air Force Airman Joseph Stanley graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Tex. He and his flight group 675 of the 326th training squadron were awarded the Commander’s Excellence Award and graduated with honors. Stanley will continue security forces defender training at JBSA-Lackland. He is a 2019 graduate of Hayden High School.

Brooks graduates

U.S. Air Force Airman Neal Ashton Brooks graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Tex. Brooks is the son of Neal and Kristi Brooks of Oneonta. He has two siblings, Gracie and John-Wendell, and is a 2019 graduate of Oneonta High School.

Jaclyn Latta, Oneonta, was among students recognized for outstanding achievements in academics during the Accountancy Day Award Ceremony held Sept. 5 at Troy University. Latta received the Accountancy Day Sponsors Scholarship.

Icelda Tovar-Beltran of Oneonta has been named a Jacksonville State University Ambassador for 2019-2020. As the official student hosts of JSU, the Ambassadors foster positive experiences for all who visit campus – from campus tours to graduation. Tovar-Beltran is a sport management and rec studies major at JSU.
