WILLIE P. WARREN, 68, Oneonta, died Oct. 30, 2017. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and an avid Alabama football fan. Parents Henry and Helen Warren, sister Cynthia Warren, and brother Ned Ray Warren predeceased him.
Surviving are wife Connie Warren; children Willie Percy Warren Jr., Angela Warren (Brian Turner), Stanley McKinney, Rodney (Lisa) Kyle, Veronica (James) Russell; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings Vivian (Curtis) Grayson, Larry (Teresa) Warren, Ronald (Susan) Warren, Rica (Archie) Jones, Lucille (Mustafa) Nuru, Henry (Marie) Warren Jr., Jacquline (Butch) Bennett, Harold (Fredricka) Kyle; many nieces and nephews.
B.J. Price and Mylus Spear officiated the 1 p.m. service held Nov. 4 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Valley Chapel Funeral Home directed.
