Tucker elected Grand Master
David Tucker, of Rosa, has been elected Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of Alabama. He was elected for a one-year term by the nearly 24,000-member organization, representing 282 lodges, with his term beginning Nov. 15, 2017. The fraternal organization encourages members’ participation in religious activities, along with emphasizing the need for individuals to become better, more responsible people in discharging family and community responsibilities. It’s major concerns include membership growth, providing scholarships for deserving students, helping members in distress with financial assistance, helping the needy with assistance at Christmas, and sponsoring youth recreation activities. The Grand Master is in charge of all lodges and the corporate board in Alabama.
