Perfect day for a festival

The organizers of the annual Blountsville Harvest Festival could not have asked for better weather. Last Saturday’s clear blue skies and temperatures in the upper 70s were perfect for any outdoor event and the crowd was proof that the good weather was appreciated. The all-day event drew more than 1000 people to the streets, side streets, and open fields of Blountsville. There was the classic car show, tractor and equipment show, and custom bike show, arts and crafts, plenty of food, and great music to keep everyone entertained and younger folks had plenty of games and other activities to enjoy. The event, which is sponsored each year by the Blountsville Business Association and the Town of Blountsville, was highlighted by the Harvest Parade. – Rob Rice
