NILA JUNE BATY, 76, Cleveland, died July 29, 2012, at St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham. She was coowner of Baty TV, a member of Easley Church of the Brethren, a member of the Quilters Guild, and volunteered for many years at the Blount County Fair. Parents Ernest Price and Edith Headley Price Brown predeceased her.
Surviving are husband Tom Baty; daughter Nan (Tony) Fallin, Locust Fork; sons Martin Baty and Lynn Baty, both of Locust Fork; grandchildren Lacey Fallin Phillips, Kathy Baty, Ashley Baty ( Jared) Jones, Amy Fallin, Nila J. Baty; great-grandchildren Bryanna Phillips, Easton Phillips, and Chelsea Jones; sister Bobbie Nell Marsh, Birmingham.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jimmy Hale Mission or to the Community Church of the Brethren. Lemley Funeral Home directed.
