THE ONEONTA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION is sponsoring its first Super Chili Bowl Cookoff to be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Individuals and businesses are invited to enter the cookoff to win prizes: first place wins $200; second place, $100; third place, $50. There will also be a people’s choice award of $50. Entry fee is $10 for individuals and $25 for businesses. Deadline to register is Feb. 1. ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROVIDED BY PROJECT SHARE The Oneonta chapter of the American Red Cross will begin accepting applications on Jan. 5, 2012 for Project SHARE, the energy assistance program for low income elderly or disabled Blount County residents.
