It was a tough fight for both teams, but Southeastern ended the night with the 12-0 win in the Blount County Kickoff. Offensively, Southeastern had 177 rushing yards on 45 carries. Top rushers were Jacob Robinson with 49 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown and Jordan Graham with 49 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown.

The real standouts were on defense. The Mustangs’ defense played behind the line of scrimmage all night, racking up 10 tackles for loss and four sacks. Mitchell Young, Noah McCray, Kevin Juhola, and Alex Branhmann each had two tackles for loss, and Hayes Massey and Jordan Jett each had seven tackles. The Mustangs also forced three turnovers. The Eagles were only able to muster 62 yards rushing on 29 carries and less than 30 total passing yards.

Southeastern travels to Brindlee Mountain and Appalachian travels to Coosa Christian Friday, Aug. 31.
