MOLLY HOWARD, Enterprise, 92, died Feb. 25, 2018. She was predeceased by parents Rice Milford Howard and Mary Lou Boazman Howard, only child Lisa Ryan Still, and son-in-law James E. Still Jr. Molly was a native of Oneonta and a graduate of Blount County High School. She attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute, Auburn, and graduated summa cum laude from Judson College. Following graduation she taught school in Florida and later returned to Oneonta to join her family in the publication of the Blount County newspaper, The Southern Democrat, presently The Blount Countian. Following her parents’ death, she became editor and publisher of the paper and remained with the paper until her retirement in 2010. Because of her declining health, Molly moved to Enterprise to live and be with family. “She was content in any and every circumstance.” Molly was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church. She was a scholar, avid reader, lover of nature, a greathearted cheerful giver, and loyal friend and family member.
Surviving are cousins Jean Boazman Wakefield, Patsy Boazman Britt, Frank Allen Britt of Enterprise and their children.
There will be no formal services. At a later date, services will be held in the garden of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Guntersville. The family commends and thanks Dr. David Rhyne, the staff of Kelley Place, and Dayspring Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
