Liberty Bank opens branch in Snead

Last week, the Liberty Bank branch in Snead celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting.‘We pride ourselves on the level of service we provide,’ says Liberty Bank president Chris Bailey.‘We are always taking advantage of the latest in banking technology, but we also realize there is no substitution for one-on-one interaction. When you call us during business hours, you will hear a friendly voice on the other end of the line, not an automated answering system.’ According to Bailey, a Snead native, the cornerstone of the company is remaining local. ‘We are local employees with decision making authority serving local customers,' he says. Snead branch manager Joyce Breasseale agrees,‘I worked at Cadence Bank in this same location when the company announced they would be closing our branch, but when Chris made the decision to bring Liberty to Snead, he hired me back, along with three other Cadence employees.’ Bailey says this was important, not only to provide jobs in the community, but also so residents could continue to see familiar faces. Liberty Bank – open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday; and 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday – is located on U.S. 278 across from Snead Park.
