JULIUS DONALD ALLISON,



83, Oneonta, died March 19, 2012, at the residence. A tax accountant and teacher, Mr. Allison was past president of the Civitan Club, a member of the American Legion, and served in the U.S. Army. Born in Blount County, he was predeceased by parents Eugene A. and Nellie Emily Elrod Allison; brothers Eugene Coy and Carlton Allison; and sisters Sue Ellen Weems, Aline LaRue, and Frances Bailey.

Surviving are wife Alzie Weems Allison; son Dr. Jeroan ( John Trobaugh) Allison, Worcester, Mass.; daughter Jeanne (Perry) Doty, Oneonta; grandchildren Winter Saige Fowler, Auburn, Dustin Doty, Oneonta, Ryan Trobaugh, Worcester, Mass.; and special son Dr. William T. O’Bryne, Birmingham.

Tommy Riggs officiated the service held March 22 at 11 a.m., at Valley Chapel Funeral Home. Burial was at Blount Memory Gardens with Tommy Lee Harless, Charles Cleveland, Jeffery Allison, Patrick Fendley, Eric Sanders, and Odis Huffstutler serving as pallbearers.
