Altoona, died May 8, 2014, at St. Vincent’s East Hospital, Birmingham. Pastor for eight years and co-founder of of Whispering Hope Church, he also was a founder of Millers Hollow Church. Mother Inez Daugette and sister Patricia Hogeland predeceased him.
Surviving are wife Frankie Martin Daugette; son Joseph (Linda) Daugette, Altoona; daughters Lawana ( Jeanty) St. Jean, Haverhill, Mass., Becky (Adil) Hasan, Anniston; grandchildren Abeer Hasan, Ibrahlem Hasan, Zarah St. Jean, Nadelge St. Jean, Forrest Blake, Faith Blake, Colton Wright; father Bernard Daugette, Altoona; siblings Wayne and Wanda Daugette, Boaz, Sherry Pierce, Gail and Robert Hafley, all of Altoona; brotherin law Stanley Hogeland, Oneonta; favorite dog, Scooter.
Travis Baird, Mitchell Gibbs, and Todd Epps officiated the 3 p.m. service held May 12 at Walnut Park Bible Based Community Church. Burial was at Hafley Family Cemetery with Jason Miller, Richard Miller, Lyn Brogdon, Josh Brogdon, Adil Hanson, Jeanty St. Jean, Jeremy Martin, and Harvey Martin III serving as pallbearers. Snead Funeral Home directed.
