JACQUELINE STARKEY ADKINS, 74, Oneonta, died Jan. 14, 2015, at UAB Hospital. She worked at Morrison’s Cafeteria in Century Plaza for more than 30 years, was a caregiver for her mother and son, enjoyed crocheting, and watching old movies and television shows. She was predeceased by parents Charles Verbon and Zelda Sims Starkey and son Don C. Adkins.

Surviving are daughter Deborah Cranor, Birmingham; son Terry (Gina) Adkins, Cleveland; grandchildren Jessica Brooks, Stacey Manskowski, Steven Parish Jr., Sarah Adkins, Kala Mathis, Kacie Mathis; great-grandchildren Richard, Victoria, Travis, Isaac, Carrie, Kali Grace; brothers John (Barbara) Starkey, Gardendale, Pete (Kay) Starkey, Warrior; sisters Sally (Bryce) Thornton, Leeds, Glenda (Charles) Parsons, Mt. Olive, Emily (Jim) Campbell, Bessemer.

Rufus Harris officiated the 1 p.m. graveside service held Jan. 16 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Lemley Funeral Home and Crematory directed.
