Good crowd at first-ever Ag Expo

The Blount County Co-Op was one of the 60 vendors set up for the first-ever Ag Expo at the Blount County-Oneonta Agri-Business Center on Saturday. Vendors included tractor companies, local manufacturers, animal-health and feed-related businesses, the Blount County Master Gardeners Club, and more. At least 600 people attended, according to Blount County Cattlemen’s Association member Charlie Head. ‘We want to give the public the opportunity to meet the folks involved in these goods and services,’ Head said. These services extended past just cattle, although the Cattlemen’s Association hosted the event. It also included equine, pork, sheep, row crop farming, and more. – Nicole Singleton
