Carolyn Armstrong helps a customer bag her produce during the Farmer’s Market Special Day on Saturday. Armstrong has been selling at the market for four years and says buyer and seller participation is increasing at the market which got off to a slow start because of the weather affecting the growth of produce.‘Everything was late coming in, but now it’s picking up,’ she said. During the Special Day, a once-ayear event hosted by the Blount County-Oneonta Agri-Business Center, participants got the chance to be involved in a drawing to win produce and prizes donated by farmers and sponsors of the market. – Nicole Singleton
