Rosa Community, died July 2, 2013, at the residence. Mr. Gray served in the U.S. Army, retired from Conner’s Steel as a rolling mill steelworker, and was a member of Rosa United Methodist Church. Parents Joe S. and Ida Belle Mize Gray predeceased him, as did stepmother Eula McRae Gray, 14 siblings.

Surviving are wife Carol Gray; son Benjamin H. (Allison) Gray Jr., Moody; daughter Sharlene Gray, Birmingham; stepson Jack ( Valary) Green, Rosa; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Eula Mae (Carroll) Neal, Holly Pond, Effie Lee (Ed) Pitts, Pinson, Bobbie Jean Pitts, Mountain Brook.

Jerry Gargus officiated the 11 a.m. service held July 6 at Rosa United Methodist Church. Burial was at Dailey’s Chapel Cemetery with Jamey Pitts, Danny Lawrence, Bob Rogers, Jack Green, Chad Murphree, and Mark Neal serving as pallbearers. Blountsville Funeral Home directed.
