AUDREY RUTH GREEN REEVES, 94, Oneonta, was born on May 13, 1923, and passed on April 3, 2018. Mrs. Reeves was a longtime member of Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church and most recently attended Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. When she was able, she loved to cook and provide for her family. She was preceded in death by husband of 66 years Aubrey Thomas Reeves, grandson Jeff Moss, son-in-law Rev. Wess Hallman, parents Thomas Russell and Nancy Jane Magouirk Green, brothers Herman, Junior, Jim, and Harold Green, sister Annie Lou Green Reeves, and brother-in-law Howard Reeves.
Surviving are daughters Jewanda (J.D.) Moss, Betty Reeves (Jerry Bailey), Billie Hallman, and Jane (George) Reid; granddaughters Kelley (Tracy) Cox and Angie Cole (Dawayne Bittle); special granddaughter Susan Moss (Mark) Pannell; great-grandchildren Hunter, Levi, and Dawson Cole, Kiley and Kenzie Cox, and Ben Pannell; step-grandchildren Holly (Rob) Cole and Charles (Terri) Hallman; step-great-grandchildren: Drew (Alex) Cole, Drake Cole, and Ben Hallman; brothers Garvin (Wilda) Green and Marvin (Evelyn) Green; sisters-in-law Sue Green, Gracie Green, Genevieve Walker, Imogene (Marvin) Walker, and Lillie Bell Reeves. The family wishes to express a special thank you to caregivers Carolyn Bellew, Shirley Black, Carolyn Goff, Faye Marsh, Gail New, Linda Wadsworth, and to Kindred Hospice for their loving care these last few weeks.
Michael Cornelius officiated the 1 p.m. service held April 5 at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Hallman, Sterlin Reeves, Joe Reeves, Allen Reeves, Michael Reeves, and Jimmy Reeves. The family suggests memorial donations to the Oak Hill Cemetery Fund, P.O.
