ANGELO BRAND, 72, Pine Mountain, died Aug. 24, 2017, at a Birmingham hospital. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and earned a Bronze Star with a V for Valor. He was a member of Turning Point United Methodist Church, Magic City Beagle Club, and the Locust Fork Masonic Lodge and an avid fisherman and hunter. Predeceasing him were grandson Daniel Blake Moody, father Lee Roy Brand, stepmother Bernice Brand, mother Helen Hartley Brand, and sister Melody Dailey.
Surviving are wife Donnah McCay Brand; daughter Stephanie Brand; granddaughter Felicia Daniels; sister Brenda Wilkins; fur-baby Siggy the dog; nieces and nephews.
Cam Price officiated the 2 p.m. service held Aug. 26 at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Ronald Brand, Angelo Fortunis, Andreas Fortunis, Mark Giddy, Chris Mize, and Daniel Mize. Honorary pallbearers were Ben McCay and Michael McCay.
