Five softball area champs

There are five softball teams still competing this season. Appalachian, Cleveland, J.B. Pennington, Locust Fork, and Hayden will all be traveling to Bowers Park in Tuscaloosa this week for Regionals. Randolph ‘leaves a legacy’

Tara Randolph of Cleveland High School was recently recognized as the Bryant-Jordan Overall Achievement Winner. Since then, she has set the state record for the 100-meter hurdles in track. Golfers advance to sub-state

There were quite a few teams and golfers that placed at the AHSAA sectionals tournament to advance to substate. Emma Thomas, of Cleveland, shot 114 and placed third for the 1-3A section 4 girls tournament. Charlie Saler, Southeastern, placed third at the 1-2A boys section 2 tournament. Soccer ends at playoffs

Soccer has never been better in Blount County. Oneonta boys and girls and Susan Moore boys all made it to the state playoffs this season. The Redskins shut out Crossville 4-0 in round two.
