Lady Wildcats win junior high tournament

Simply put, softball at Hayden is on fire this season. The junior high girls shut out each opponent to win the county tournament. They had 41 total runs and surrendered zero runs. Oneonta girls tennis players (from left) Mia Smith, Emily Fendley, Abby Bailey, Faith Hubbard, Katelyn Caverly, Sidney McKoy, Bekai Heffley, and Chaney Anderton qualified for the state tournament Monday with their second place finish at sectionals. State playoffs will be April 22 and 23 in Mobile. The team is coached by Cindy O’Rear and Richard Caverly.
