OPD and OFD awarded $9,791 grant

Cawaco Resource, Conservation, and Development Council, recently awarded the City of Oneonta a $9,791 grant. The grant will allow for equipment and technology upgrades within the Oneonta Police Department and Oneonta Fire and Rescue. The Blount County Memorial Museum has five new displays currently on loan for a limited period. One includes vintage toys. Another showcases 1930s-era china and quilts. Both were loaned by Freddie G. Massey, Delynn Gibbs, and Dawana Sue Gibbs Sutton.
