Redskins and Bulldogs tie

Oneonta and Susan Moore opened the 2017 soccer season with a 3-3 tie Monday night at Gilbreath Stadium. The Bulldogs got a pair of goals by Angel Duarte and a single goal by Eduardo Robles. Oneonta countered with two goals from Luis Arreguin and a single goal from Aaron Steele.

Kennedy Noelle Beard was born Dec. 5, 2016, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham. She is the daughter of Johnathan and Allison Beard and the little sister of 3-year-old Kaydence Beard of Cleveland. Riley Makenzie Mason, daughter of Richard and Susan Mason of Mount Hebron, celebrated her 10th birthday on Feb. 5. She is the granddaughter of James and Linda Mason of Boaz and Jerry and Sarah Smart of Snead, and great-granddaughter of Estelle Downs of Boaz. Riley is a fourth-grader at Onoenta Elementary School.
