The investigation is continuing after a woman died yesterday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot at Burger King in Oneonta. According to the Oneonta Police Department, the woman, 53, from Blountsville, was with a relative at the restaurant around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Pill bottle collections

Emma Grace Weston (pictured above), Miss Central Alabama, has collected more than 1000 prescription and pill bottles for the Matthew 25: Ministries program. The program helps to improve medical care in developing countries and recycles the bottles, thus also helping the environment. Emma Grace, 3, is the daughter of Loretta and Preston Weston of Blountsville.
