Clements, 82, dies in single-vehicle accident

Glen Morris Clements, 82, of Rosa, died after a single vehicle crash in Snead on Friday. Clements was driving a 1998 Ford F-150 when he wrecked at approximately 11:40 a.m. He drove off the road and hit a ditch near Snead, according to authorities. Death investigation underway in Blountsville shooting

The Blount County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting death of a Blountsville man. Operations Officer Tim Kent said that 57-year-old Jerry Holaway was found dead at his residence near the intersection of County Road 26 and Ala 79 Friday night.
