Caregiver charged with stealing $21,000

Sharon Kay Armstrong, 40, of Oneonta, has been charged with 28 counts of possession of forged instruments, according to Oneonta Police Chief James Chapman. Armstrong used $21,000 worth of checks and money from a checking account of an 85-year-old woman in Oneonta, Chapman said. Armstrong served as a caregiver for the victim.
