Judge Steven King sentenced Thomas Doyle Crowe, 34, of Blount County, to the death penalty on Tuesday. Police chase enters Blount County

Phillip Nathan Pointer, 39, of Crossville, was arrested after he crashed near the intersection of Ala 278 and county road 35 trying to elude police Thursday night, according to The Sand Mountain Reporter.
