ANYTHING GOES, an Olympic-style athletic competition featuring all seven Blount County high schools, will be Thursday, April 30, at 7 p.m. at the Blount County-Oneonta Agribusiness Center. The event is sponsored by the Oneonta Jaycees and the proceeds go to the group’s scholarship fund. Hayden is the defending champion.

Area tournaments this week


The high school softball season moves to playoff-mode with area tournaments scheduled this week. The only area tournaments to be held in Blount County will be at Oneonta and Susan Moore.
