ONEONTA PUBLIC LIBRARY will screen the movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’ tomorrow, Aug. 10, at 5 p.m., admission is free.

Friends of the Library will meet on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m., to elect officers. The public is invited.

A seminar on seed saving with speaker Charlotte Hagood, founder of the Sand Mountain Seed Bank, will be Saturday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m.

Patrons may check out up to four DVD or BlueRay movies for up to seven days. New releases are limited to two per card for a maximum of three days. An increased late fine of $1 per day is now in effect.

CRISIS CENTER JUST A CALL AWAY 5K The third annual 5K and 1-mile fun run will be Saturday, Aug. 19, in uptown Birmingham. HOFSTALER MEMORIAL CEREMONY has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m., at White’s Cemetery, located between Trafford and Locust Fork. Hofstalar was a Revolutionary War veteran and a memorial marker will be placed on his grave by the Josiah Brunson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Birmingham Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
