BLOUNT COUNTY FARMERS MARKET is open each Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Blount County-Oneonta Agri-Business Center. A drawing will be held each Thursday at 10 a.m. for a market basket of mixed vegetables.

BLOUNT COUNTY VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK COMMITTEE will have a yard sale on Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15, from 7 a.m. until ?, at the Oneonta Worshp Center’s Family Life Center. The group is asking for donations and items can be taken to the Blount County Memorial Museum, or a committee member can pick up items. All proceeds benefit the Veterans Park project. ONEONTA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION The Classic Cruise-In will be Saturday, July 29, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The OBA, along with Pounder’s Seafood Restaurant and SwampTails Restaurant, presents the band 5ive O’clock Charlie with a live performance. There will be inflatables, food, music, and classic vehicles. Bring a lawn chair and the family to enjoy this free downtown event.

GLENN-EFIT A benefit concert for Glenn Tolbert will be held Saturday, July 15, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., at the Gardendale Civic Center Auditorium. HOFSTALER MEMORIAL CEREMONY has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m., at White’s Cemetery, located between Trafford and Locust Fork. Hofstalar was a Revolutionary War veteran and a memorial marker will be placed on his grave by the Josiah Brunson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Birmingham Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
