EVENTS

LEE’S CHAPEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will have a gospel concert featuring Robert and Pam Glass on Sunday, May 21, from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

MOUNT PLEASANT MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH will have Homecoming and Decoration on Sunday, May 21, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Singing Commodores will perform, lunch will be served, with more singing to follow lunch. The church is located at 40 Mt. Pleasant Church Road in Altoona.

ONEONTA SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH will have a friends and family singing on Sunday, May 28, beginning at 2 p.m. The church choir will also sing.

PINE GROVE METHODIST CHURCH will have memorial services on Sunday, May 28, with the group Perkins Revival from Gadsden performing at 10:30 a.m., worship at 11 a.m., and lunch to follow.

ONEONTA CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST will have a one-day tent revival and outreach service on Saturday, May 27, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Terry Ball, state president of department of evangelism for the first jurisdiction of the COGIC, will bring a message. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

CLEVELAND FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH will have VBS on Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 9, from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. nightly.

MT. VIEW BAPTIST CHURCH will have ‘Galactic Starveyor’ VBS on Saturday, June 10, from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. for ages 3 to adult. The church is located on Arkadelphia Road, one mile northwest of the intersection of Skyline Drive. Phone 590-3321 with questions.

CALVARY EPISCOPAL CHURCH has a beans and rice food ministry the fourth Sunday of each month, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Dry beans and rice will be given away on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
