‘An exciting year’

Pennington varsity cheerleaders have had an exciting year. They attended summer camp in Panama City Beach, Fla., where they received first place in overall game day competition, second place in sideline cheer competetion, and received the Traditions Award for respectfully representing their school. Alanna Blaxton, Alan Lagunas, and Alyssa Thomas received the Pin-It-Forward Award and CJ the Tiger (aka Amber Hall) was named UCA All-American mascot. Seniors Lagunas, Chase Ganus, Josh Graves, and Lauren McHan were named UCA All-American Cheerleaders.

Additionally, the squad participated in the 2016 Auburn Extravaganza where they took part in the halftime performance at Auburn’s homecoming game.
