Oneonta guard Ryne Wester signed a basketball scholarship with Gadsden State Community College. Wester, pictured above with parents Susan and Neal and (top row, left to right) Redskin assistant coach Don Camp and Gadsden State head coach Todd Ginn, scored over 1100 points in four years and was a three-year starter on Redskin teams that went to the Sweet 16, Elite Eight, and Final Four. He averaged 12 points per game this year for an Oneonta team that finished 27-6 and lost to Midfield in the Final Four. During the state tournament in Birmingham, Wester won the Coke Zero Three-Point Shootout. Wester was an All-Area selection for three years, made the Northeast Region All-Tournament Team as a junior, and was the Northeast Region MVP as a senior.
