SINGINGS

ZOLA BAPTIST CHURCH will have a singing Feb. 7 at 1:30 p.m. with Southern Heritage as the featured group. As the church will also celebrate Edith Calvert’s birthday, friends and family are especially invited for this special day. MOUNTAIN GROVE BAPTIST, county road 47, Blountsville, will have a singing Saturday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. Specials will be the King’s Messengers Quartet with Arvil Nix. Earl Young and Milo Hamm are singing chairmen.

GOSPEL BENEFIT SINGING for the Charles Edward Green family will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. at Blountsville VFW Hall. Special singers are the Spurgeons, Faithmen, Head’n Home, and The Singing Best. Concessions will offer hot dogs, chili, pinto beans and cornbread, cake, and pie. Cake and other goods will be auctioned.

PLEASANT VIEW MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH will have its third Sunday night singing Feb. 21 at 6 with The Singing Ambassadors from Fayetteville, Tenn., as guests. Church is located on U.S. 278 East approximately two miles east of Holly Pond on the left. 256-796-5986 or 256-593-3408.

LOCUST FORK BAPTIST CHURCH is hosting its second annual Philippians 3:14 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, March 6. Registration is $25 before race day and $30 on race day. Prizes and medals will be awarded. BLOUNT COUNTY CHRISTIAN BALLET is hosting a grand opening celebration Saturday, Feb. 13, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments, cotton candy, popcorn, and face painting will be available at no charge.

UNION HILL BAPTIST CHURCH, 2919 county road 39, Oneonta, will host a winter revival Sunday, Feb. 7, through Wednesday, Feb. 10. Services will be at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday and at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Evangelist will be Dr. Edwin Hayes of Cullman First Baptist Church. REMLAP METHODIST invites all to a chili supper Saturday, Feb. 13, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

CLEAR SPRINGS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH plans a spaghetti supper Saturday, Feb. 6, at 5 p.m. with proceeds used to benefit the church building fund. Spaghetti, lasagna, salad, vegetable soup, bread, and desserts will be offered. Plates include drink and dessert and are $8 dine in or carry out. The event will be in the fellowship hall of the church, located on county road 15 near Limestone Springs.

ONEONTA WORSHIP CENTER will have a concert in its family life building March 13 at 7 p.m. Stan Wilemon and Greg Long are partners in the venture. Featured is the band of Gary Waldrup, who has been inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame. Other performers include Heartfelt Harmony and the Pleasant Valley youth choir and drama team presenting a blacklight drama. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
