‘FLFR supports Rosa residents Friends of the Locust Fork River supports the Rosa Coal Group’s position regarding the Rosa Coal Mining Venture because it is in the Locust Fork River watershed and will have an effect on that watershed. FLFR does not have direct experience dealing with mining companies, but is learning more every day. We do not have a lot of experience helping concerned citizens organize and form effective groups. FLFR will be involved in some capacity whether it is a support role or a leadership role.
The cause is part of our mission statement “... actively preserve the natural integrity of the river in its freeflowing state, and to that end, the lifestyle of the community surrounding it.” |
